True story: My hubby has to be prodded to groom himself better. LOL. So I step in and make him blends such as Organic Beard Oil. Certified organic Black Spruce smells fresh, crisp, woody and earthy. It's main components are Bornyl Acetate, B-Pinene, a-Pinene, Camphene, (+)-Limonene, and Camphor. It is abundant in monoterpenes and esters.
Certified organic or wild-crafted Cedarwood atlas has a rich, sweet, woody aroma. Its main constituents are B-Himachalene, a-Himachalene, (E)-a-Atlantone, Gamma-Himachalene, Deodarone, (E)-Gamma-Atlantone, Himachalol, and Isocedranol. I might be switching to Virginia Cedarwood which is not on the endangered list like Cedarwood atlas is.
Certified organic Australian Sandalwood is a deeply grounding, spiritual essential oil that instills a sense of inner peace. Its aroma is rich, delicately woody yet sweet. Its major constituents are (Z)-a-Santalol, (Z)-B-Santalol, (Z)-Nuciferol, epi-B-Santalol, and (Z)-a-trans-Bergamotol.
Certified organic Lime is routinely used for its energizing, fresh and cheerful aroma. It is well known in folklore for its ability to cleanse, purify and renew the spirit and the mind. It is also said to be effective in cleansing the aura. Cold pressed Lime Essential Oil is phototoxic. This blend uses distilled Lime which is not phototoxic. Lime Essential Oil smells fresh, citrusy, sweet and slightly tart. Lime has many chemical components such as a-Pinene, B-Pinene, Sabinene, Myrcene, Limonene, y-Terpinene, Terpinolene, Octanal, Nonanal, Tetradecanal, Pentadecanal, Trans-a-bergaptene, Caryophyllene, B-bisabolene, Geranial, Neryl Acetate, Geranyl Acetate, a-Terpineo, and Linalool.
Certified organic Jojoba oil is actually a wax, and not an oil. Its composition is similar to that of the skin's natural sebum (oil). Its viscosity is medium.

SENSITIVITY & ALLERGIES: I always use high quality, natural ingredients but some herbs and oils can cause reactions to those allergic or sensitive. When trying new products, always do a skin patch test by applying to a small area of healthy, non-irritated skin (the underside of the wrist or underarm is a good place), to check for skin sensitivities. This is especially important if planning to apply to broken or damaged skin. Wait about 20 minutes. Look for redness, a rash near the area or elsewhere. Always monitor yourself or your child whenever using aromatherapy blends.
