Frankincense Aftershave Spray
For Frankincense Aftershave Spray+, this organic hydrosol blend soothes the skin, brings down inflammation, and is calming for the nerves. It contains certified organic Myrrh, Frankincense frearana essential oils, Aloe Vera & Frankincense carterii hydrosols.
A hydrosol is what is left over after the plant has gone through steam distillation. The distiller filters out the essential oil such as Frankincense, and what traces of the Frankincense is left over in the distilled water is what makes a hydrosol. It's so gentle that I use hydrosols in my blends for babies and toddlers.
Spray the Aftershave onto the targeted areas, and let it air dry. Nicks and cuts will not sting when applied. Please note that this blend does not contain any preservatives. To keep the blend fresh, you can store it in the fridge or in a cool, dark place. The blend will last longer if refrigerated. Shake well before use.

Certified organic Aloe Vera hydrosol contains compounds that attract and retain moisture, acting as a humectant. These compounds include polysaccharides and amino acids like histidine, serine, arginine, threonine, and glycine. Aloe vera hydrosol, like the gel, may help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness, making it potentially beneficial for conditions like sunburn or mild irritation.
Certified organic Frankincense carterii hydrosol contains traces of the essential oil after the distillation process has ended. Frankincense carterii is a tree resin and one of the many variants of Frankincense. Although this particular variant is endangered, it is from a sustainable source. The hydrosol shares the same fresh, woody, balsamic, slightly spicy and fruity notes but is lighter. Frankincense carterii's major components are a-Pinene, a-Phellandrene, (+)-Limonene, B-Myrcene, B-Pinene, B-Caryophyllene, p-Cymene, Terpinen-4-ol, Verbenone, Sabinene, and Linalool.
Certified organic Myrrh is a tree resin that has been used and valued since ancient times for its medicinal, cosmetic, aromatic and spiritual applications. Myrrh Essential Oil is distilled directly from myrrh resin. Emotionally, it is grounding and helps to mellow out the emotions. It's a base note and has a medium consistency. Myrrh Essential Oil smells warm, earthy, woody and balsamic. The major components are Furanoeudesma-1,3-diene, Furanodiene, Lindestrene, B-Elemene, Germacrene B, Geracrene D, Delta-Elemene, and 2-Methoxyfuranodiene.

When trying new products, always do a skin patch test by applying to a small area of healthy, non-irritated skin (the underside of the wrist or underarm is a good place), to check for skin sensitivities. This is especially important if planning to apply to broken or damaged skin. Wait about 20 minutes. Look for redness, a rash near the area or elsewhere.
