German Chamomile is dark blue in color due to the presence of the sesquiterpene chamazulene. It tends to be comprised of 60-70% Sesquiterpenes and 10-15% Oxides. German Chamomile Essential Oil does possess a beautiful and somewhat similar sweet, herbal-chamomile aroma that shouldn't be overlooked. Its major constituents are Bisabolol, Farnesol, Azulene, Farnasene, and Thujanol.
Bergamot FCF is bergapten-free. FCF (furanocoumarin-free) refers to the chemical constituent(s) responsible for extreme sensitization of the skin to sunlight that has been removed from the essential oil. Its aroma is reminiscent to that of Orange Oil, but it is wonderfully more complex. It almost seems to possess an underlying floral and bitter characteristics. Its major components are (+)-Limonene, Linalyl Acetate, Linalool, Sabinene, Gamma-Terpinene and in this case, without the Bergapten.
Juniper Berry comes from the branches and berries of the Juniper, a coniferous tree, which have been used in indigenous cultures for spiritual and medicinal purposes. Juniper Oil has a distinctive aroma that is woody, sweet, fresh and crisp. Its major constituents are a-Pinene, Sabinene, B-Myrcene, Terpinene-4-ol, (+)-Limonene, B-Pinene, Gamma-Terpinene, Delta-3-Carene, and a-Terpinene.
Rosewood
Lavender is a floral and has a beautiful, versatile aroma. Its main constituents are Linalyl Acetate, Linalool, (Z)-B-Ocimene, Lavandulyl acetate, Terpinene-4-ol, B-Caryophyllene, (E)-B-Farnesene, (E)-B-Ocimene, and 3-Octanyl Acetate.
Borage Seed Oil is a prized oil in skin care for its noteworthy essential fatty acid content, consisting primarily of the omega-6 EFA gamma linolenic acid. Its aroma is light and sweet. Len Price mentions that Borage Seed Oil contains approximately 15% saturated fat, 15% oleic acid (an omega-9 fatty acid), 38% linoleic acid (an omega-6 essential fatty acid), 21% gamma linolenic acid (GLA, an omega-6 essential fatty acid) and less than 1% alpha linolenic acid (an omega-3 essential fatty acid).
Tamanu Oil is a deeper colored oil with a distinctive, nutty aroma. Someone once remarked that Tamanu Oil smells somewhat like butter pecan ice cream. Tamanu Oil is comprised of approximately 20% saturated, 40% monounsaturated and 40% polyunsaturated fatty acids. It also contains the anti-inflammatory coumarin known as calophyllolide as well as waxes and other beneficial compounds. Primary Fatty Acids in Tamanu Oil are C16:0 Palmitic Acid (Saturated): 12-15%, C18:0 Stearic Acid, (Saturated): 8-13%, C18:1 Oleic Acid (Monounsaturated Omega-9): 35-49%, C18:2 Linoleic Acid (Polyunsaturated Omega-6): 21-40%, and C18:3 a-Linolenic Acid (Polyunsaturated Omega-3 EFA): 0.3-1.3%.
Camellia Seed Oil, also known as Tea Oil, is a light, rapidly absorbing oil that is pressed from the seeds of Camellia sinensis or Camellia oleifera. Its leaves are used for tea, and its aroma is light. This pale to yellow golden oil is primarily monounsaturated and is said to be rich in anti-oxidants including Vitamin E.

SENSITIVITY & ALLERGIES: I always use high quality, natural ingredients but some herbs and oils can cause reactions to those allergic or sensitive. When trying new products, always do a skin patch test by applying to a small area of healthy, non-irritated skin (the underside of the wrist or underarm is a good place), to check for skin sensitivities. This is especially important if planning to apply to broken or damaged skin. Wait about 20 minutes. Look for redness, a rash near the area or elsewhere. Always monitor yourself or your child whenever using aromatherapy blends.
